I knew the moment that I first chatted with Nicole about her wedding that I was in for a colorful treat!
In Charleston, at Magnolia Plantation & Gardens, there is no more beautiful time of year than the last week of March! I feel so blessed to have been chosen to photograph Nicole and Gill’s wedding! The azaleas in bloom were absolutely breathtaking, the Spanish moss was glowing in the light of the sunset, and Nicole & Gill are such a hott couple….it was just a completely wonderful day for love and photography!

Becky & Corey’s wedding at Summerville Presbyterian & Old Santee Canal Park Interpretive Center
March 26, 2009

Becky and Corey are easily one of my favorite couples ever! These two are such a fun couple, head over heels in love and happy to show it! I had such a great time photographing their engagement session, her bridal session and of course their wedding!
But before I get to a preview of their wedding, I have to tell you about Becky’s awesome urban fashion bridal session! We had so much fun that day getting as close to “dirt” as we could without getting the dress dirty! (And we did!)
Here are a few of my favorite pics from her bridal session:

What? Climb a ladder in a wedding dress before the wedding? Yeah, Becky did!!!

My personal favorite (and I think Becky’s too) from the bridal shoot:

Becky & Corey were married at the beautiful Summerville Presbyterian Church in Summerville, SC. Their reception was inside the Interpretive Center and was absolutely beautiful!
Here are a few of my favorites from their wedding day:

These two had a gorgeous and fun wedding! It was my 1st time at the Cathedral of St. Luke and St. Paul…what a beautiful church! (I especially love the courtyard for portraits!) Their reception was at one of my all-time favorite venues in Charleston – 28 Bridgeside!
As a couple, they make the ideal bride and groom. They are fun-loving, smokin’ hot, and relaxed in front of the camera! They love photography and were so easygoing to all of my crazy picture ideas!

Brittany and Robert held their God-honoring ceremony at St. Lukes Chapel and their very classy reception at one of Charleston’s most unique venues, Lowndes Grove Plantation. It was so encouraging to witness the closeness that the parents and siblings had. It was one of those days where people just seemed to have pure celebration. Katie and Taylor with Timeless Designs provided expert planning and coordination services, and I must say that they did an outstanding job with day planning, communication, decor, and flowers. I high recommend them. Fish Restaurant provided the catering, flawlessly prepared and presented.
This was an exciting wedding, photographically, as we were able to stretch the new 5D Mark IIs to their limits and play with some new ideas that have been brewing. Here’s a sneak preview. Stay tuned for the album, to be posted soon!

Ashley and Neil had a sweet sunset ceremony under the oaks at Dunes West Country Club in Mt. Pleasant, SC on one of the first warm days of the year. It was all over the news that morning about how beautiful the day was going to be, so I was thrilled to be heading out to one of my favorite venues with a very sweet couple. Ashley is daughter to Vicki Blackstone, a professional wedding planner with Carolina Celebrations, so it was a special honor to be a part of this wedding. We tried out some new cameras and flash equipment at this wedding, and got some pictures that I am very, very excited about.
Here’s a sneak preview of some of the pictures! Stay tuned for the wedding album!

The Cast and Crew of the Clemente Players!
March 2, 2009
I had the pleasure of photographing the cast and crew of the Werewolf’s Curse, Hair today Gone Tomorrow. They are currently in rehearsal for their performances the first weekend in April. They are the Clemente Players, directed by Dr. Sharon Willis (pictured in the front). All proceeds of the play go to benefit the Clemente Class, which is a pioneering educational experiment for the most needy of our society designed to fight the cycle of poverty by providing higher humanities education to those who would never otherwise have that opportunity.
