Last weekend, we traveled 3½ hours outside of Charleston for Leah & Rob’s wedding in Mountville, South Carolina.

Their wedding took place on Leah’s grandparents’ land, and I surely see why! Their wedding was well planned, uniquely decorated, and so much fun!  I truly enjoyed escaping Charleston for the day and photographing the rolling hills, tall trees and blooming dogwoods. Also, Leah and Rob’s family and friends are lighthearted, fun people to be around!

Here are a few of my favorites from their day. (We couldn’t have asked for better weather!)

Second shooting Leah and Rob’s wedding with me was Charleston photographer Kip Bulwinkle from Karson Photography! Though he is way overqualified for the job as 2nd shooter, his creative eye and fun personality added a unique dimension into Leah & Rob’s wedding photography…and kept me on my toes!

I had so much fun hanging out & photographing portraits for the Palmetto Christian Academy’s pre-prom party this past Friday evening! What a great looking bunch! (Seriously!)

I continue to be impressed with everyone I’ve met (students and faculty) at PCA. I recently photographed a character shoot for their upcoming performance of Diary of Anne Frank.

Remember….our studio does rocking senior portrait sessions! ALSO we are looking for senior models for our 2010 marketing….so, the next 5 PCA Seniors (or seniors-to-be) to call our studio get a FREE portrait session (just mention that you read our blog!)

I am particularly happy with some of the reception shots at this wedding!  The DJ (Complete Music) brought a phenomenal dance lighting setup (lasers and all!), and the Videographer had a video light that enabled some great non-flash opportunities for dance and toast pictures.  We discovered a new angle for the bouquet and garter toss, as well!

Dunes West, of course, offers endless opportunities for portraiture on the grounds.  We had a bit of challenge at this wedding due to heavy overcast and lots of April gnats.  But, as usual, adverse situations yield more creative results, as I have to think outside the box.

Shannon and Joel have some great stories from their wedding day–and the best ones won’t be in the album. (long story!)

This was my first full fledged wedding and reception at Pelican’s Watch, and I really liked it!  Dress it up, add friends and family, a spectacular sunset (Folly Beach has the best ones), perfect temperature, and no bugs, and it definitely it’s a great place for your wedding day!

It’s official!

Friday, April 17th, Wendy and Eric finally tied the knot at one of my most favorite Charleston venues, St. Luke’s Chapel at MUSC. The stained glass windows, porcelain tile floor and wood truss ceilings are perfect for weddings (and photography!) With the wholehearted support and excitement from all of their family and friends, their reception was in the Colonial Ballroom of the Francis Marion Hotel on King Street.

Here are a few of my favorite images from Wendy and Eric’s wedding:

It’s April…time again for the Family Circle Cup at the Family Circle Tennis Center on Daniel Island!

This past Saturday, I had the pleasure of attending Day 1 of the qualifying rounds for the tournament. It was such a beautiful day to be outdoors!

Here are a few of the many photos I snapped for fun while sitting in the stands with my Canon 5D, 16-35 f./2.8 and 70-200 f/2.8 IS:
